In the name of the father about the movie

The film was about Gerry Conlon and his friend Paul Lynch, they grow up in Belfast but they decicde to move london and joins the hippie scene.
And later in the film Conolon steals money from a prostitute and when he do that he drops he's keys in front of the house who later explodes, and the police get a tips that Gerry and Paul who is Irish, may be involved in the bombing and they get arrested by the police. I can't remember who told the police about Gerry and Paul. And the they get tortured in the prison, and later sentenced to around 30 years in prison. Gerry's father is also in prison and he dies in the movie. In the film also the police arrest IRA-member named Joe that admit the bombing. But after a while a loyer Gareth starts to investigate the case and at the end get's the albi and in the court they get realeased from prison. And Gerry says that he will fight for justice in the name of he's father.

I think the film was very nice, justice gave them all freedom at the end and that's nice.
So my opinion is that the film was given the Oscar was fear.

What's different ?

yea, today we was on the theater and saw the great play "Of mice and men" hehe. It's was some different happenings in the play that wasn't written in the book or in the film. Like when after Lennie have killed the Curley's wife and he ran of, then all spread out and all that, but George knows where he is, and run down to the river and talk to Lennie about the house and things to make him calm down then after that shoot him. And in the film it's only George and Lennie down by the river, but in the play George find Lennie down by the river and talks a bit with him and then Lennie needs to hide because Slim come down to the river and tell George if he see Lennie it's best that he shoot himself because if Curley get Lennie he will torture him. That doesn't happen by the river in the film, it happen on the fields not far from the farm.
But even though the play was very interesting and funny aswell :)

yeye, Bye

The book :)

now i'm finally done with the book, i'm very restless so the book have taken a couple weeks.
I thought it was a good book, but not my type acsually, i like sports books better. But the book wasn't bad, so that's impressed me was the black man and his wisdom of the enviroment around the farm and very good charachter in the book. And it was a shocking end of the story, but i feel that end should have been longer.

Yeye, bye

In the 1930's, the whole world suffered from the great depression, which was a great economically down period for all, starting with the stock market crash in 1929. The whole world suffered from the down period, but the country that suffered the most was USA. The life in the USA at that time was difficult, for everyone. What was once the land of opportunity was now the land of desperation. At that thime, the American economical situation was at an all time low.

John Steinbeck the author

John Steinbeck was born February 27, 1902 and died December 20, 1968. He was born in Salinas Valley, California. He was an American writer and he wrote the novella we are reading about in our english class "Of mice and men" in 1937. In all, he wrote twenty five books, including sixteen novels, six non-fiction books and several collections of short stories. Some of his books have allsow been created as movies, like "of mice and men". "Of mice and men" is one of the famous works, next to the novel “The grapes of wrath”, a Nobel Prize winner from 1939. In 1968, Steinbeck died from a heart attack.

The book mice and men

Well, I'm just done with the 4th section/chapter of the book we're reading; "Of Mice And Men". It's an interesting book, so far anyway, with caracthers you can relate to. Regarding the 4th section, it all takes place in Crooks' bedroom(Crooks is the black stable buck). Lennie visits him, and they start talking. The whole sequence is really interesting, as Crooks points out a real problem.
